Grants to Help Those in Need   Lend A Hand Society makes grants in three general areas:   Emergency Financial Assistance: Roughly 400 small grants are given each year to needy families and individuals through non-profit agencies.   Camperships: Funding for camp scholarship is provided for underprivileged children through non-profit camping agencies.   Book Mission: Grants for books are made to educational programs and colleges serving low-income students.   Lend A Hand Society works in partnership with case managers at over 75 non-profit community organizations, hospitals, legal aid groups, religious organizations and government human service agencies. We respond to requests for case managers at non-profit agencies who write on behalf of clients for financial assistance for rent, utilities, medical supplies and equipment, eyeglasses and other necessities.   Our goal is to help meet client needs before they spiral downwards. Lending a hand can prevent loss or lead to getting a job or functioning independently.
