Old and new friends gathered at the Edward Everett Hale statue in the Boston Public Garden to continue the celebration of LAH’s 125th year and the restoration by the Friends of the Public Garden of the base of the Hale statue.  Guests met a young E.E. Hale who spoke about his many years in Boston as a minister, philosopher, writer and philanthropist.  Nancy Inui, LAH President and Liz Vizza, Executive Director of the Friends of the Public Garden, spoke about the work of each organization, and Stephen Jonas, donor for the statue’s restoration, spoke about his admiration for Hale the man, and his love of the E.E. Hale statue.
